Lesson 3: Choose a Business

I had a great learning week.
First I made my 5 business proposals:
  1. Gourmet /special flavor ice cream
  2. Cookies sell.
  3. Basic Computer course to adults
  4. Baby sitting
  5. Shoe repair
I will choose sell cookies combined with special flavor ice cream, I think it should works great.

In this week's readings I learned a lot from the founder of Domino's Pizza it was very edifying to learn from him and see how the gospel changed his life for well another of the people who left me a great teaching was how  President Hinckley encourage us as students, although we are not as good, as he mentioned in a joke.

One of the materials that left me a great lesson was the page of Harvard Manage Mentor about innovation and creativity. I liked the exercises in which they put you in the place of a manager and to be able to make decisions to makes an Innovation in your company considering the existing working group and then inviting people who could contribute with their knowledge and technique to create an environment conducive to developing ideas that benefit the company.

In the case of the Boston ducks it led me to think like not all businesses grow out of nowhere but rather are the product of much effort on the part of an entrepreneur willing to have achieved their dream I learned that before putting a business you have to weigh Risks and consider the requirements of the city as an essential part of starting a business.

Other of the teachings that remained in my mind is the importance to put a name to your company in such a way that you have no problems using it.

I think that this 9 advises from President Faust are very important in order to succeed  in business as well as to receive the blessings of the Holy Spirit:
Live so that we can merit guidance of the spirit.
Never be complacent and try harder.
Exercise more faith.
Purge ourselves of personal aggrandizement.
Beware of pride and flattery.
Be humble and submissive.
Always try to act to promote that which is good for others.
Learn to enjoy the fruits of the Spirit.
Do works of righteousness.
